At Ruth's Shoppe, you'll find a curated collection including books for the youngest readers, hand-picked cards, and a delightful array of dog-themed treasures—socks, tumblers, slippers, notepads, towels, and more. I also offer purses adorned with animal and nature motifs, along with a selection of art supplies.

Our Story

Back in the days of our childhood on Mole Hill farm, my sister and I would play "store" beneath the shade of apple and maple trees. With our trusty wagon in tow, we'd scour the old apple orchard for treasures to stock our makeshift shop. Oh, the joy we found in arranging our goods to barter and sell to each other! Little did we imagine then that someday we'd each have our own beloved shops.

Linda became the proud owner of Golden Kernel, while I, Ruth, opened Ruth's Books and Crafts (now fondly known as Ruth's Shoppe), among the pioneering shops when the market opened its doors in 1987. Initially, my shelves were filled with books of all kinds, local crafts, and a selection of cards. Over time, my focus shifted to supplying books for local schools, enriching their reading programs near and far.
